Strategy - Developing a Responsible Business Framework

Connexus Advisory identified key internal and external stakeholders to engage in a sustainability issue identification process. Through individual and group meetings, we discussed past performance and future challenges relating to each of the short listed issues. 

Using GRI principles, we assessed the relevance and materiality of each issue by mapping stakeholder concerns against operational impacts. A Responsible Business Strategic Framework was developed to prioritize sustainability issues, operationalized via team scorecards and updated job responsibilities. Executive management reports enabled performance tracking.

As a result, the framework was endorsed by the Executive team, and it continues to guide sustainability efforts and the structure of annual reporting. The framework also became integral to management's narrative of sustainability.
